DESCRIPTION

A truly exquisite object of functional decor, this hand-crafted, versatile object has an hexagonal sodalite base with six trapezoidal panels in pink Rosa Portogallo marble extending outwardly and a bold rim of black Belgio marble. The geometric shape highlights the distinct qualities of the different stones so that the organic pattern created by the delicate veins creates an interesting interplay with the clean lines of the design. This stunning piece is intended to hold fruit but can also be used for other objects or by itself to add a distinct and decorative accent of timeless elegance. Design by Voltero Tollorenzi, in 1976.
